The Democratic race

It's time for Hillary Clinton to stop running for the Democratic nomination.

I think the best thing that could happen at this point would be the announcement of an Obama/Clinton ticket, and a decisive strategy moving forward ASAP to rally everyone who was inspired by both candidates- as well as all of the new people that both candidates brought into the tent- to get ready to take our country back and make history in November.

There are many problems with putting Hillary Clinton in the VP spot, including the fact that she apparently wouldn't help Obama much electorally and she's probably genetically predisposed to not wanting to return to the White House in a submissive position to another man.

But we need to move forward, she's a remarkable politician, she has a lot of supporters who care very genuinely for her causes, and most of her traditional strengths dovetail nicely with Obama's weaknesses.

But Obama has earned the top spot.

Let's do this and move forward.

do you really think that could ever happen? it seems like the the last few months have left each with such distaste for the other that I'm just not sure either would agree to it.

It's by no means a perfect scenario, but the biggest issue to me is the fact that both of them have such huge constituencies that will be alienated if they don't come together.

totally agreed, but that doesn't mean you can have a hybrid. although i have to wonder how alienated a lot of these people will really be. claiming they're going to vote for mccain and actually doing it are very different things.
